Wahid Ali

Wahid Ali is an accomplished risk management professional with extensive experience in the financial industry. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer at Tandem Bank since December 2022, Wahid has previously held similar roles at Masthaven Bank and Al Rayan Bank. Prior positions include Deputy CRO and Director of Risk Strategy at RBS, and Senior Manager at the Prudential Regulation Authority, where expertise was developed in risk governance, regulatory compliance, and internal audit. Wahid began a career in risk oversight at Barclays Bank and gained significant experience at Deloitte UK. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in International Politics from Aberystwyth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of Essex, complemented by executive education at Harvard Business School.
