Albert Pan

Dr. Pan is the CTO at TandemAI. He brings over 20 years of experience applying molecular simulation to fundamental scientific questions and drug discovery.

Previously, Dr. Pan was a Senior Research Scientist for over 12 years at D.E. Shaw Research. At D. E. Shaw, Dr. Pan led the development of free energy calculations and novel enhanced sampling methods and their application to challenging drug targets, and played a major role in fundamental biophysics research.

Dr. Pan earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and an A.B. in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was subsequently an NIH NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago.
