Eleonora Vella

Eleonora Vella has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology incubation, venture development, and scientific research. Eleonora began their career at Università degli Studi di Palermo as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from July 2009 to August 2011. Eleonora then worked at Université de Montréal as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from an unspecified start date to January 2016, where they were responsible for managing an ultrafast spectroscopy laboratory and conducting research on new materials for various applications.

In 2015, Eleonora joined TandemLaunch Inc. as part of their Venture Development team until September 2017. TandemLaunch is a Montreal-based incubator and venture capital firm that partners with major consumer electronic brands to commercialize early-stage technologies from top universities. During their time at TandemLaunch, they specialized in multimedia technologies and played a key role in scouting, accelerating, and commercializing technologies.

From September 2017 to December 2018, Eleonora worked as a Program Manager at TandemLaunch, where they focused on turning research from leading universities into consumer technology companies. Their expertise in multimedia technologies, such as video and image processing, content tracking, and human-computer interfaces, contributed to the success of the program.

In January 2019, Eleonora advanced to the position of Program Director & Principal Scientist at TandemLaunch. Eleonora continued to drive the development and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies while overseeing multiple programs.

Finally, in January 2022, Eleonora assumed the role of Chief of Staff at TandemLaunch, exercising their leadership and organizational skills to support the executive team in strategic decision-making and managing company operations.

Eleonora Vella completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Università degli Studi di Palermo from 2006 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at Université de Montréal from 2011 to 2015.
