What you’ll be doing

As a Client Partner at Tangent, you will play a crucial role in managing and growing our client relationships, ensuring their success and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for a multi-million portfolio of strategic and major clients. Working closely with the Programme Director, you will be jointly responsible for the success of your assigned portfolio.

Client Relationship Management 

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' business goals and disseminate this knowledge to the wider team

  • Map client landscapes and establish new contacts within client organizations at multiple levels, from director to c-suite

  • Meet regularly with project sponsors to gather feedback and maintain strong relationships

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess progress and align on future objectives

  • Attend key presentations and act as the client's representative for major deliverables

  • Monitor relationship risks and identify mitigations to ensure long-term partnerships

Strategic Leadership: 

  • Take overall responsibility for client relationships across your portfolio

  • Identify needs that the client may not recognise yet

  • Deliver success for our clients by aligning our services with their business objectives

  • Drive client revenue growth and produce a new opportunity pipeline

  • Prepare project briefs and support clients with their business cases

  • Lead strategy deliverables, ensuring they meet client expectations and drive business value

Business Development 

  • Identify new client opportunities and update the tracker (e.g., Hubspot)

  • Develop and present proposals for existing clients to expand our engagements

  • Collaborate with the new business team to support pitches and win new client work

Team collaboration 

  • Work closely with the Programme Director to ensure portfolio success

  • Keep the internal team updated on client news and developments

  • Handle client escalations effectively, ensuring swift resolution of issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

What we are looking for

To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record in client relationship management, strategic thinking, and business development within an agency setting. We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • 8+ years of experience in a client-facing role within a digital agency or consultancy

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow large client accounts (£1m+)

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate client needs into actionable plans

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organization

  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, products, and industry trends

  • Proven track record in identifying and closing new business opportunities

  • Experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal teams

  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving digital landscape
