Madhavi Bandi has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Madhavi started their career as a Research Associate at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where they worked on understanding the role of cytokines and chemokines in leukemia progression. Madhavi then progressed to the position of Senior Research Associate/Research Scholar, where they managed lab operations, conducted live cell imaging studies, and designed animal protocols.
Bandi later joined the MD Anderson Cancer Center as an Institute Associate Scientist IV, where they focused on generating polyploid cell lines and studying cell division errors in p53 deficient cell lines. Madhavi then became an Institute Research Investigator, actively contributing to various research projects.
Following their time at MD Anderson, Bandi joined Merck as a Senior Scientist, where they worked on scientific research until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist II at Tango Therapeutics and is currently serving as a Principal Scientist.
Madhavi Bandi holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Acharya Nagarjuna University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Microbiology, General from the same university between 1997 and 1999. Madhavi earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry from Hindu College from 1993 to 1996.
