Robert Miyasato

System Administrator Team Lead at Taos

Robert Miyasato has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 1995. Robert began their career as a Test Engineer and PC Administrator for Hewlett-Packard's Network Printing Research and Development division. Robert then worked as a Novell, Microsoft, and Macintosh Specialist for the Network Support and Solutions Group, providing expert level support for network printing and scanning solutions.

In 1999, Miyasato joined Kaiser Permanente IT as a PC/LAN Administrator, supporting over 3000 medical technicians and doctors across four hospitals and clinics. Robert played a critical role in the deployment of workstations during the Y2K system remediation project.

Miyasato's next role was as a Senior Desktop Technician for Guidant Corporation, where they led a team of technicians and maintained desktops and printers for a user community of over 1500. Robert also set up audio/visual components for medical presentations and seminars.

From 2000 to 2002, Miyasato worked at Digex as an Internet Systems Administrator and Deployment Supervisor. Robert was responsible for managing a team of engineers and overseeing the installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft Windows servers across multiple data centers.

In 2004, Miyasato joined Dell Services as a Program Manager and later as an Infrastructure Manager. Robert oversaw technical projects and managed teams of engineers and support staff for clients like the Library of Congress and the Department of Transportation.

From 2010 to 2014, Miyasato worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Vcentra, LLC and provided technical support to the Director of Technology Support and Standards Compliance as well as the Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development division.

In 2015, Miyasato joined Woodgrain Millwork as a Senior IT Site Administrator, where they provided remote technical support to workstation users across multiple manufacturing sites. Robert also managed the implementation of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) infrastructure and supported handheld inventory systems.

Since 2016, Miyasato has been working at Taos and Taos, an IBM Company, as a Systems Administrator, providing support to internal customers and monitoring production networks, servers, applications, and services.

Overall, Miyasato has gained extensive experience in systems administration, technical support, project management, and team leadership throughout their career.

Robert Miyasato earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Robert attended the university from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their degree, Robert also obtained two certifications: the ITIL Foundations Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert in July 2018, and the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2018.
