Carlos Silva has extensive experience in aviation, currently serving as a Senior Type Rating Examiner at TAP Air Portugal since May 2006, and has held various roles including Type Rating Instructor for the A330/A340 and Fleet Chief Pilot Deputy. Prior to this, Carlos worked as a First Officer for A310 and B737/200-300 aircraft at TAP Air Portugal from 1989 to 2000 and served as an Air Force Officer in the Portuguese Air Force from 1985 to 1988. Carlos also contributed to academia as a Teaching Specialist in Multi-Crew Cooperation and Aircraft Systems at Universidade Lusófona do Porto from 2010 to 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in progress, a Licentiate degree in Aeronautics, a Postgraduate Degree in Air Transportation Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering. Additionally, Carlos completed training in Training of Trainers in 2022.
