Mario Cruz

Mario Cruz serves as the Chief Commercial & Revenue Officer and Board Member at TAP Air Portugal since November 2021, after a significant tenure at Avianca Holdings from November 2013 to November 2021, where Mario held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Pricing-Revenue Management and Distribution. Cruz was instrumental in generating and optimizing $4 billion in revenue through strategic pricing and inventory management. Prior to Avianca, Cruz directed operations and customer experience at Aerolineas Galapagos, successfully turning around the business, and began a career in revenue management at TACA, progressing from analyst to various managerial roles. Mario Cruz holds an MBA in Economics and Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an engineering degree from Universidad Centroamericana 'José Simeón Cañas'.
