Jason Forbes

Jason Forbes has a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Jason currently serves as the President & COO at Tap & Barrel Group since May 2021, previously holding the position of Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 to May 2021. Prior to this, they founded Forbes Hospitality Group in 2018, where they worked as a Principal providing specialized services in operations improvement, profitability maximization, and staff development for various restaurant establishments.

Earlier in their career, Jason served as the Vice President of Operations at Viaggio Hospitality Group from July 2016 to September 2017. Jason also held multiple roles at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, including Director of Purchasing from April 2015 to July 2016, Director Operations from January 2012 to April 2015, Director of Training from January 2007 to January 2012, National Training Manager from December 1997 to January 2007, Regional Systems Manager from July 1995 to December 1997, and General Manager, Kitchen Operations Manager, and Bar Manager from January 1991 to June 1995.

Jason Forbes has completed the Advanced Management Program for the Hospitality Industry at the University of Guelph. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, as well as the RSE - Read Seal Chef Certification from ITA. Jason has also achieved the WSET - Level 2 certification from WSET - Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
