Danny Powell

Danny Powell is a seasoned professional in business analytics and power trading with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Director of Business Analytics at Targa Resources since May 2017, Danny develops complex PowerBI models and leads a corporate data analytics team to enhance operational efficiencies. Previously, as Manager of Corporate Development at Targa Resources, Danny created economic models for project valuation and established new processes for project information management. Prior roles include Partner at XO Energy, where Danny established trading strategies and forecasts, and Power Trader at Saracen Energy, focusing on managing power futures portfolios. Danny also held leadership positions at Shell as General Manager of Power Basis Trading, overseeing trading teams and optimizing profitability through systematic evaluations. Danny's career began at Williams, where trading strategies across various markets were developed. Danny earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Northeastern State University.
