William Soo Hoo

William Soo Hoo is an experienced leader in research and development with a focus on immunology and assay development. Currently serving as Senior Director R&D, CMC at Targazyme since May 2024, William previously held key positions at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. from November 2015 to May 2024, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Assay Development. With a diverse background, including roles at Gilead Sciences, Scantibodies Laboratory, Celula, Jaden Bioscience, Microislet, Telos Pharmaceuticals, Genoptix, and The Immune Response Corporation, William has contributed to various therapeutic and diagnostic projects, particularly in immunotherapy and rare cell identification. William holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry with a focus on molecular immunology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
