JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

On a given day, a Vice President of Client Service will: 

  • Lead efforts to expand existing client business; generating new strategies, opportunities, and networks for agency growth
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Targetbase's offering across communications, analytics, and technology solutions 
  • Learn clients business, brands, customers, and competitive environments in order to proactively offer new ideas to established clients, complementing and expanding the current scope
  • Drive organic growth by seeking opportunities to extend Targetbase’s role across the entire product portfolio, with a strong focus on communications penetration within existing client bases
  • Identifying and pursue new project and revenue opportunities within the Omnicom/OPMG network and sister agencies
  • Lead pitches for new business, new clients, and expansion efforts
  • Partner with Finance to ensure financial contracts and service level agreements fairly represent the agency and client
  • Attend and fully participate in client briefs, client presentations, and client research as needed
  • Develop periodic, regular client satisfaction surveys to ensure a formalized exchange of feedback on assigned client accounts and taking appropriate steps to create a high degree of client satisfaction
  • Build senior-level relationships with clients and being viewed as an indispensable member of the overall project team
  • Contribute to building a positive agency culture while building positive working relationships with other competencies and clients; building relationships with each of the competency leads and teams that will assist in the achievement of successful projects
  • Organize opportunities for Targetbase employees to learn about the activity on respective businesses, focusing on successes and failures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a client service or new business role within consulting, MarTech or digital marketing agency
    • Experience in leading data-driven campaign strategy and providing senior counsel to clients
    • Mix of Direct to Consumer (DTC) and B2B experience preferred
    • Successful track record of organic growth
    • Experience pitching and winning new business
  • Strengths in understanding and applying direct/target marketing strategies to enterprise-level client business
  • Innate curiosity, bias for collaboration, and strong leadership abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business Marketing, Communications, or Advertising is preferred

  • Business Acumen: In-depth knowledge of business dynamics and current marketplace trends
  • Fiscal Management: Demonstrated fiscal management skills with a strategic approach to budgeting and financial oversight

  • Agency & Creative Process: Solid grasp of agency operations, creative processes, and integrated disciplines
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely PowerPoint and Excel
  • Travel and overtime may be required as client/business needs dictate 

We work a hybrid schedule - 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.  Candidates must local to the DFW area and willing to be onsite in the office 3 days a week.
