Liza Heinig is a partner at Tarolli, Sundheim, Covell & Tummino LLP, specializing in intellectual property issues within the mechanical and related arts since September 2005. Previously, Liza served as a patent associate and adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University from September 2014 to May 2020, where Liza contributed to the Intellectual Property Venture Clinic. Liza began their career as a patent agent at Caterpillar Inc. after graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1999, and Liza also worked as a patent agent at Sughrue Mion PLLC during law school, following a summer associate position at McDermott Will and Emery. Liza earned a J.D. with a focus on intellectual property from The George Washington University Law School in 2005.
