Karmien Bowman

Karmien Bowman is an experienced Associate Professor of Art at Tarrant County College, with a focus on teaching Ceramics I and II and expertise in producing functional and sculptural ceramic forms using various firing methods since 1990. Prior to this role, Karmien owned Yarmouth Studio from 1969 to 2015, specializing in clay and metal work including bronze sculpture, and engaging in communal activities such as workshops and annual open studio sales. Karmien also served as an Adjunct Ceramics Professor at Brookhaven College DCCCD from 1979 to 1989, instructing in Ceramics, Art Metals, and Jewelry Making. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Ceramics and Metals from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Art History from The University of Texas at Austin.
