Richard Steer has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Richard started their career in 1984 as a Partner and Head of Employment Practice at Davidoff & Malito LLP, where they worked until 1996. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace University School of Law, teaching courses in Employment Law, Employment Discrimination Law, and Labor Law.

In 1996, Richard joined Jones Hirsch Connors & Bull PC as a Partner and Co-Head of the Employment Practice Group. Richard held this position until 2005 when they became a Partner and Head of the EPLI Practice Area at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. Richard's expertise lies in employment law, employment discrimination, and labor law.

Richard Steer attended Alfred University from 1967 to 1971, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Richard then pursued further education at New England Law | Boston from 1971 to 1974, obtaining a JD Cum Lau (Juris Doctorate Cum Laude) degree with a focus on Law. Additionally, they completed a Certificate in EEO Studies at Cornell University ILR, which concluded in 1978.
