Sandipan Borthakur is a PhD student at Tartu Observatory, focusing on the spectroscopic study of planet-hosting stars and the analysis of elemental abundances. In addition, Sandipan is pursuing a PhD under a cotutelle agreement between University of Tartu and Technische Universität Graz, working at both institutions. Previous experience includes a role as a Junior Research Fellow at the Physical Research Laboratory, where Sandipan contributed to projects on star cluster evolution and the origins of presolar grains. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Data Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, a Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi.
