Zain Saidin

Zain Saidin has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Zain'smost recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer at Tassat, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were attempting retirement between January 2020 and February 2023, engaging in consulting, board work, and snowboarding.

Before their retirement, Zain worked at KLA for a significant portion of their career. Zain held various positions, including Part-Time Senior Advisor from January 2018 to December 2019, Executive Vice President from January 2017 to January 2018, Chief Engineer and Executive Vice President from July 2007 to December 2016, VP/General Manager from September 2003 to July 2007, Vice President of Engineering from December 2001 to September 2003, Director of Engineering from August 1999 to December 2001, Engineering Group Manager from September 1996 to August 1999, and New Product Introduction Engineering Manager from March 1995 to September 1996.

Zain's early career includes working as an Engineer at Deep Ocean Engineering, where they were responsible for developing new systems for the Phantom line of small remotely operated submersibles. Zain worked there from 1990 to 1991.

Throughout their career, Zain has gained experience in various areas such as consulting, board work, snowboarding, exploratory development of new markets, business development, mergers and acquisitions, inspection and metrology products, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, sales, production, and leadership.

Zain Saidin completed their education from 1986-1990 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering (SB).
