Talya Ben Shitrit

Talya Ben Shitrit began their career in 2019 as a Data Engineer at AMBOSS, where they created ETL pipelines, maintained the data warehouse, designed datasets and resolved data inconsistencies. Talya also supported PMs with insights from data and maintained dashboards for different business purposes. In addition, they implemented a search results reranking model based on user's clicks & skips as part of the search team. In 2022, they transitioned to Tastewise as a Data Scientist, where they worked on the AI platform food brands use to make smarter decisions for a healthy, sustainable, and delicious future. Talya gave sales, marketing, and insights teams the data they need to make an impact on the market. Talya also focused on improving the search relevance by using ML and NLP methods such as entity linking and embeddings.

Talya Ben Shitrit completed their Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2017. In 2020, they obtained a Statistical Inference certification from Coursera. Talya is currently pursuing their Master of Science in Information Systems and Data Science from Tel Aviv University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
