Tim Peeters

Tim PeETERS has extensive experience in research and development within the steel industry, currently serving as Department Manager for R&D in Ironmaking, Steelmaking & Casting at Tata Steel in Europe since October 2009. Responsibilities include delivering research and technology advancements in cokemaking and ferrous agglomerates. Previous roles include Department Manager at Tata Steel from 2009 to 2011, Project Coordinator at Corus Group from June 2008 to October 2009, and Knowledge Group Leader at Corus Staal BV from September 2003 to June 2008, focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics and high-temperature processes. Tim PeETERS also contributed to academic pursuits as an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology from September 1994 to September 1999, supervising graduate and PhD students. Tim PeETERS holds a PhD and an MSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, obtained in 1993 and 1989, respectively.
