Debashish Bhattacharjee

Debashish Bhattacharjee is the current Vice President of New Materials Business at Tata Steel. Debashish has been with Tata Steel since April 2009, and has held various positions within the company, including Group Director of R&D and Chief of R&D and Scientific Services. Prior to joining Tata Steel, Bhattacharjee worked as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from April 1993 to March 1996. Debashish also worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Guest Keen Williams from August 1986 to July 1987.

Debashish Bhattacharjee received their PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Debashish also holds an MTech in Materials Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Metallurgical Engineering from Jadavpur University.

Debashish Bhattacharjee reports to T V Narendran, CEO & Managing Director. They are on a team with Rajiv Kumar - VP Operation, TSK, Rajeev Singhal - VP Steel M&S Flat Product, and Chaitanya Bhanu - VP, Steel Manufacturing.
