Nagaraj Ijari

Nagaraj Ijari has over 35 years of rich experience in the IT industry and in-depth knowledge of the industry. With over 30 years of service at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), oversaw and contributed significantly to the growth of the organization. Nagaraj has managed a variety of roles at TCS that involve – Strategic thinking, Executive oversight and impact, leading large-scale change, transforming and engaging the workforce, sales, P&L management, aligning Business and IT strategy, talent strategy development, global account management and delivery and customer relationship management. Has worked with customers and workforce across a wide range of cultures and geographies.

Nagaraj has set up the HiTech and Professional Services global business unit and grown the unit significantly and ran this business for 12 years. As Head of the TCS Bangalore Operations, has led the branch to significant growth.

As the HiTech and Professional Services business unit head, have focused on developing digital solutions to address the customer’s business issues, recommended business model transformation, Innovation, expansion and development of new geographies, development of new market segments, development of technology and domain capabilities apart from driving sustainable and profitable revenue growth. Established leadership position in various industry segments through driving domain and thought leadership led transformation initiatives. HFS has ranked TCS’ HiTech & Professional Business Unit as #1 service provider. The Business Unit has more than 22, 000 associates.

As the Head of TCS Bangalore Operations since 2002, played a pivotal role in the growth of TCS Bangalore from 3,000 employees to over 60,000 employees. Strategic Planning, Delivery excellence, Learning & Development, Infrastructure planning, leadership development, people management, etc. were key aspects of this role.

Nagaraj has been part of the TCS Global Executive team since 2002. Has been on the Board of TCS Japan.

Retired from TCS a couple of years back and currently working as consultant. Is on the Board of TML BSL (Tata Motors Limited Business Services Limited) and on the Board of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Institute of Management Development.

Nagaraj holds a BTech degree in Textile Engineering from Bangalore University. Has completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP181) in 2011. Nagaraj has successfully completed a one-year Post Graduate Program in Executive Coaching in June 2022. Nagaraj is based out of Bangalore, India.
