Mala Munisamy has over 20 years of work experience in the tech industry. Mala began their career in 2001 as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, where they led several cross-organizational initiatives, resulting in large scale SaaS product launches, cost savings, and improved experiences for developers and end-users of Microsoft Windows. Mala also led software engineering teams responsible for building large scale services that power various Microsoft products. In 2005, they worked as a Software Engineer and Project Manager at Cisco, where they built a unit test framework for JavaScript and event management software. From 2012 to 2020, they held various positions, including Senior Software Engineering Manager at Amazon, Senior Software Engineering Manager at MIND Research Institute, Senior Software Engineering Manager at QuickBridge Funding, Head of Software Development and Technology at CarFinance, and Head of Technology and Software Development at Global Financial Data. In 2020, they became Senior Director of Engineering at vidIQ and, in 2021, they were appointed Director of Engineering at Tatari.
Mala Munisamy has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering. Mala then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Seattle University, which they completed in 2006. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University in 2003. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera.
