MacKenzie Connolly is a Mechanical Engineer at TAU Systems since July 2022, where the focus is on laser wakefield acceleration for high energy radiation production. Prior to this role, MacKenzie served as a Research Engineer Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, managing technical projects and utilizing SOLIDWORKS for design purposes. Additional experience includes a position as a Student Engineer at Southwest Research Institute, contributing to high-velocity impact tests, and an internship at Nvision Biomedical Technologies, where MacKenzie collaborated on the design of a hammertoe correction implant, which was featured at the Foot and Ankle Convention 2020. MacKenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University.
