Meryl Bowdell

Meryl Bowdell (NPQH) is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Senior Vice Principal at Star Academies since January 2023, after previously holding the position of Vice Principal. Prior to this role, Meryl worked as Deputy Headteacher at The Oldham Academy North from September 2015 to January 2023, where responsibilities included leading the Quality of Education and managing the school’s SEND provision and examination outcomes. Meryl also held roles as Assistant Headteacher and Director of Core at Oasisacademyoldham from September 2011 to August 2015, and began a career in education as a Science Teacher. Meryl's educational background includes a PGCE in Physics and a Bachelor of Science degree from Keele University, along with completing secondary education at Hollingworth High School.
