Jan Pedersen

Jan Pedersen has extensive experience in strategic workforce planning and development, health and safety management, and well-being management. Jan has held positions such as Head of People, Performance and Culture at Tauranga City Council, Workforce Lead at National Transition Unit, and General Manager in People and Customer Services at Western Bay of Plenty District Council. Jan also has experience as a Business Improvement Consultant and HR and Change Management Contractor, and has worked at organizations such as Horizon Energy Group Limited, Whakatane District Council, and Bay of Plenty Regional Council. Throughout their career, Jan has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, communication, and engagement skills.

Jan Pedersen's education history is as follows:

From 1996 to 2001, Jan attended Massey University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in BBS Management, specializing in Finance and Human Resources. This degree covered various fields including Human Resources Management/Personnel, Finance, Accounting, and Health and Safety.

In 2002 and 2003, Jan pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management at Massey University, focusing on Business Administration and Management in general.

In 2006 and 2007, Jan studied at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, where they completed a Diploma in Health and Safety. This program provided a comprehensive understanding of Health and Wellness concepts.

Additionally, in February 2021, Jan obtained a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci.
