Sanjana F. has a diverse range of work experience. Sanjana started their career at YWCA Auckland as a Public Relations Intern in 2014. Sanjana then moved on to roles at Auckland Council, first as a Written Communication & Customer Service Representative from 2014 to 2015, and later as a Hearings & Democracy Advisor from 2015 to 2017.
In 2017, Sanjana joined Auckland Transport as a Communications and Engagement Advisor, where they provided internal and external communications services and planned and implemented communications project plans for various areas. Sanjana also worked as an Engagement Project Manager, leading the delivery of the Communications and Engagement Project Plan for the transformation of Central Auckland's bus network.
Sanjana's next role was at NZ Transport Agency, where they worked as a Senior Advisor, Communications and Engagement. Sanjana served as the Owner Interface Manager on Australasia's largest planning alliance and led communications and engagement initiatives for a major infrastructure project.
Continuing their career in communications and engagement, Sanjana joined Hokkaido Tourism Management (HTM) in 2019 as a Marketing and Event Planner while on an Overseas Working Holiday in Niseko, Japan. Sanjana handled event planning and execution for the winter snow season and managed marketing activities for HTM's brands.
From 2020 to 2022, Sanjana worked at Bay of Plenty Regional Council as a Communications Partner. Sanjana'sresponsibilities included communications planning and marketing campaigns for various teams and projects, media liaison, crisis communication, and risk and reputation management. Sanjana also served as the Civil Defence PIM and provided assistance during the winter 2021 floods in Westport.
Currently, Sanjana is working at Tauranga City Council as a CCO Specialist, supporting Tauranga's Council Controlled Organisations. Sanjana'smain focus is on seeking partnership opportunities with CCOs to improve community well-being and outcomes.
Sanjana F. pursued their higher education at the University of Otago from 2010 to 2013. During this time, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) First Class Honours degree in Communications and Marketing. In 2016, Sanjana attended the Southern Institute of Technology for a brief period, obtaining a National Diploma in Project Management. The field of study for the diploma is not specified.
