Yonatan Lourie

Yonatan Lourie is an AI Researcher at Tavily since October 2025. Prior to this, Yonatan worked at Forter from August 2021 to October 2025 as an Applied Researcher, where responsibilities included leading the development and deployment of machine learning systems and optimizing retention mechanisms to reduce operational costs. Earlier roles include working as a Fraud Analyst focused on anomaly detection at scale and serving as a Data Analyst at the Israel Ministry of Finance, part of the Financial Services Audit Department. Yonatan also has experience as a Deputy Company Commander in the Israel Defense Forces. Education includes a Master of Science in Statistics and Data Science from Tel Aviv University, expected in September 2024, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completed in 2022. Additional research experience includes serving as a Deep Learning & AI Researcher at Tel Aviv University, focusing on NLP, LLMs, and graph neural networks.
