Geoff Barnes

Geoff Barnes currently serves as the Head of Design at Tavus, where the focus is on reinventing human-machine interaction. Prior to this role, Geoff was the UX Lead for the Gemini project at Google DeepMind, driving innovative Conversational GenAI experiences, and held a similar position at Google with a focus on Gemini as well as leading teams in reimagining the Assistant for productivity and personalization. Earlier experience includes working as an Interaction Designer at Google, where redesign efforts for the Shopping Engine Services took place, and leading design and project management at MAYA Design. Geoff holds an MFA in Painting from the University of Oregon and a BFA in Painting, Graphic Design, and Performance Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
