David Barry

David Barry has a strong background in tax and finance, with over 19 years of experience in various roles. David started their career as a Tax Trainee at Ernst & Young in 2003 and then went on to work at Deloitte as a Tax Senior. In 2007, they joined FDC Group as a Tax Manager, where they stayed until 2012. Afterwards, they became an Indirect Tax Manager at EMC for a brief period before joining Moore Ireland as an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser. David then moved to IFAC Ireland, where they served as an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser and Senior Tax Manager. Most recently, they worked at EY as a Senior Tax Manager before joining TaxAssist Accountants as the Head of Technical Services in 2022.

David Barry completed their Secondary Level education at Presentation Brothers College from 1990 to 1996. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, and Finance at University College Cork, which they successfully earned from 1996 to 2000. In 2000, they went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Business and Financial Information Systems at the same university, concluding their studies in 2001. From 2003 to 2007, David attended the Irish Tax Institute, where they obtained a degree in Taxation known as AITI. Finally, in 2017, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Accounting for Tax at the Irish Tax Institute.
