Director of Design at Taxfyle

Kelsey Niehaus has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Kelsey started their career at Sebrio Consulting in 2013, where they worked as a Graphic Designer/Front-End Developer. During their time at Sebrio, they designed responsive web-based applications for various US companies and also coordinated marketing campaigns for Sebrio's own product. Kelsey then joined OIBIS in 2015 as a Graphic Designer and was quickly promoted to Senior Graphic Designer. In this role, they were responsible for the design of OIBIS' business management solution and worked closely with the management team to design web applications for clients such as Johnson & Johnson. In 2018, Kelsey joined Sebrio for a brief period as a Senior Graphic Designer. From 2018 onwards, they worked at Taxfyle, initially as a Senior UX Designer and later as the Director of Design. Kelsey played a key role in establishing design systems, creating workflows, and product design for Taxfyle. During their tenure, Taxfyle achieved notable recognition, including being featured on FOX News and listed as one of Fortune 500's fastest-growing companies. In 2020, they launched the "Taxfyle: Income Tax Calculator" app with a high rating.

Kelsey Niehaus has a diverse education history. In 2005 to 2009, they attended Fairbairn College and received their National Senior Certificate. Kelsey then pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from CTI Education Group from 2010 to 2012, specializing in Multimedia. In 2014, Kelsey obtained a certificate in Bridal and Glamour Makeup from Head 2 Toe - Makeup and Hair Styling School. Continuing their education, they completed a Diploma in Social Media Marketing at Shaw Academy in 2016.

Kelsey also holds several additional certifications. In 2013, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Midrand Graduate Institute. Their certifications include "Make Design Systems People Want to Use by Dan Mall" from Awwwards (March 2021), "User Research - Methods and Best Practices" from The Interaction Design Foundation (November 2020), "Macro Photography" and "Pet Photography" from Orms Cape Town School of Photography (January 2020 and October 2019, respectively), and various certifications in UX design and Adobe software from Udemy, obtained in 2018. Additionally, Kelsey received a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation in May 2018.
