Ian Nielson

Ian Nielson has extensive experience in software development, with a focus on designing and implementing various tools and applications. Ian started their career as a Software Developer Intern at Hawkes Learning Systems, where they worked on developing and enhancing web applications using Microsoft Visual Studios and SQL Server. During their time at Powerserve, Ian continued to develop their skills as a Software Developer, designing new C# libraries and console applications for high-end real estate clientele. Ian also migrated websites, services, and SQL databases to improve security and functionality. Ian then joined TaxSlayer, LLC as a Principal Software Developer, where they played a key role in migrating a legacy VB.NET MVC application and creating a new web-based customer service lookup tool. Ian also planned and delivered new web-based projects to enhance customer satisfaction. Most recently, Ian worked at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions as a Senior Engineer, focusing on software development and computer engineering. Throughout their career, Ian has utilized a range of programming languages and frameworks, including C#, VB.NET, T-SQL, and jQuery.

Ian Nielson obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from The Citadel. Ian attended the institution from 2009 to 2013.
