Lizette van Niekerk

Lizette Van Niekerk is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data protection and governance. Currently serving as the Group Data Protection Officer at WHSmith since October 2023, Lizette has held multiple roles in data protection including Data Protection Officer for Superyacht Charities and Taylor-Made Dreams. Previous experience includes serving as a Privacy Consultant and Outsourced DPO Service at Jarvisfields Limited and Data Protection Manager at Checkatrade.com. Lizette has also contributed to community service as a Councillor for Eastleigh Borough Council and Hound Parish Council between 2015 and 2018. Additionally, a background in fundraising is highlighted through a role at Sail 4 Cancer. With a strong academic foundation, Lizette holds an MBA and degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of South Africa and North-West University.
