Sr. Director Of Translational Sciences at Taysha Gene Therapies

Emdadul Haque, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Emdadul is currently working as the Director of Tech Ops at Taysha Gene Therapies since January 2021. Previously, they held multiple roles at Audentes Therapeutics from 2017 to 2021, including Principal Scientist in CMC Analytical Development and Senior Scientist in Process and Formulation Development. Prior to that, they worked at Novavax as a Senior Scientist, leading a team and managing CROs for drug product characterization and formulation. Emdadul also has experience at Insmed as a Senior Scientist in Formulation and Analytical Assay Development, and at Syngenta as a Research Scientist II in Bio-Analytical Assay Development and product characterization. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research Scientist at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on protein structure-function and drug screening for metabolic and respiratory diseases. Overall, Dr. Haque's work experience demonstrates their expertise in formulation development, analytical assay development, and protein characterization in various therapeutic areas.

Emdadul Haque, Ph.D. began their education at Lohapur High School, where they completed their Secondary education between 1982 and 1984. Emdadul then attended J.L. Vidyabhaban in Rampurhat, Birbhum, where they obtained their H.S. degree in Science from 1984 to 1986. Haque continued their studies at the University of Calcutta, WB, India, from 1986 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry, with minors in Math and Physics. Emdadul then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry, specializing in physical chemistry, at the same university from 1989 to 1991.

In 1992, Haque enrolled in Jadavpur University, where they embarked on their Ph.D. studies in Chemistry, focusing on Colloid chemistry. Emdadul completed their Ph.D. program in 1996, acquiring extensive knowledge in the field.

Following their Ph.D., Haque joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral fellow from 1998 to 2005. During this time, they specialized in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology.

It is worth noting that Haque returned to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for an unknown period of time, although specific details about the degree obtained or the field of study are not provided.
