Ian Jones

Ian Jones has a diverse work experience in the biotech industry. Ian started their career as an Intern at the North Carolina State University Sweet Potato Breeding and Molecular Genetics Program in 2014. Ian then joined Medicago in 2015, where they held multiple roles, including Analytical Specialist I and II, Senior Laboratory Technician in Analytical Services, and Biotech Greenhouse Specialist I. At Medicago, Ian followed strict SOPs and work instructions for greenhouse operations, performed various tasks such as seeding, thinning, transplanting, and harvesting of plants, and handled fertilization and irrigation in greenhouses and environmental chambers. In 2023, Ian moved on to Taysha Gene Therapies as a Senior Research Associate.

Ian Jones completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University, from the years 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Brunswick County Early College High School, from 2006 to 2010.
