Tessa Clarkson, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Tessa is currently the Founder of Tessa Clarkson Consulting, LLC, where they provide consulting services in pharmaceuticals, clinical research, operations, clinical applications for AI, and business strategy change management. Their areas of expertise include study design and optimization, clinical operations, biostatistics, and medical affairs.

Prior to that, Tessa worked as a Project Consultant at Taysha Gene Therapies and as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Tessa also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University in the City of New York and as a Staff Clinician at The CBT Center for Anxiety + OCD.

Earlier in their career, Tessa held multiple roles at Temple University, Stony Brook University, Boston Children's Hospital, and the Department of Cardiology at Children's Hospital Boston. Tessa Clarkson, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Human Physiology at Boston University, Sargent College from 2007 to 2011. Tessa then pursued Graduate Coursework as a non-degree seeking student at Harvard Extension School from 2013 to 2014. Afterward, they attended Stony Brook University from 2016 to 2018, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology alongside their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology. From 2018 to 2023, Tessa Clarkson continued their education at Temple University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology. Following their doctoral studies, they completed a Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from 2022 to 2023.
