Tiago Simões

Tiago Simões has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tiago began their career at TAP Air Portugal as a Machine Learning Intern, where they successfully developed a study using machine learning algorithms to identify client comments on social media platforms. Tiago then worked at Xpand IT as a Business Intelligence Developer/Consultant, where they designed and implemented efficient data solutions and developed ETL solutions using various tools. Tiago also worked at TEDxULisboa as a Content Curator, where they identified relevant topics and managed speaker invitations. Currently, they are employed at tb.lx by Daimler Truck as an Engineering Lead, responsible for planning and implementing data transformation pipelines and driving company initiatives. Overall, Tiago's work experience showcases their expertise in data engineering, business intelligence, and project management.

Tiago Simões completed their education at the Instituto Superior Técnico. From 2011 to 2015, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field, which they completed from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their academic achievements, Tiago also obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) from the University of Cambridge in June 2010. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Agent, Broker, and Reinsurance Broker (Life Insurance and Non-life) from the Portuguese Association of Insurers (APS), attained in 2013.
