Somnath Singha Roy

Somnath Singha Roy is a Senior Research Scientist at TCG Lifesciences Pvt Ltd since February 2020, with prior experience as a Research Scientist at MANKIND PHARMA LTD and as a Research Associate at Sphaera Pharma Pte. Ltd. Throughout a career that began at the Centre of Biomedical Research in Lucknow, Somnath developed significant methodologies for synthesizing bioactive molecules, including enantiopure oxindoles and aminobenzothiazoles. Contributions to cancer research include designing molecules that demonstrate antioxidative and chemoprotective properties in both in vitro and in vivo studies. Somnath holds a PhD in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry from Jadavpur University, earned in 2014.
