Position Summary:

As a Scheduler at TCT, you will play a pivotal role in building schedules from concept level and taking them through project completion. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level scheduler with an interest in federal and public sector architectural and engineering design projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive Project Schedules, Resource Plans, and Cost Budgets based on project scopes, estimates, drawings, and contract specifications. Ensure that schedules accurately depict the construction sequence and logic, highlighting interrelationships between activities.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Engage with project team members during the planning, design, and development phases. Participate in the creation of construction staging plans and review site-specific conditions to incorporate into the work plan and project schedule.
  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Management: Utilize the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to subdivide project tasks into manageable activities for coordination and control. Identify predecessor/successor relationships and determine early and late dates, float, and critical activities.
  • Resource Allocation and Cost Management: Allocate and distribute estimated man-hours and costs for each project activity across disciplines. Develop a Master Resource Plan to support resource-leveling efforts and ensure project success within budgetary constraints.
  • Activity Coding and Documentation: Develop and assign standardized codes to project activities based on the WBS. Merge all project files to facilitate customized sorting of activities and resources for streamlined project management.
  • Schedule Maintenance and Reporting: Issue baseline schedules and regularly update schedules and reports to reflect project status and forecasted progress. Conduct Critical Path Analysis to identify potential delays and evaluate alternative scenarios for on-time and on-budget project completion.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate professionally and respectfully with external stakeholders, representing the organization to clients, the public, government entities, and other external sources.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Take initiative by observing, receiving, and obtaining information from relevant sources to efficiently and accurately complete projects. Identify potential issues and bring them to the attention of supervisors for resolution.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and external partners to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Clear and Concise Communication: Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely to facilitate understanding and collaboration among project team members.

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required to attend meetings, site visits, or other project-related activities as necessary.
