Dean Madison

President & CEO at TD Madison & Associates

In January 2001, Dean founded TD Madison & Associates on the principle of providing a more predictable approach for evaluating the culture, strategic fit and qualifications of potential candidates for key senior level positions within the cable and telecom industries.

Prior to founding TD Madison & Associates, Dean was a Senior Partner of the global telecommunications executive search firm Warren, Morris & Madison Ltd. for 14 years. As an early pioneer in behavioral/ situational based interviewing methods, Mr. Madison’s work in this area has led him to national status when author, Lori Davila interviewed him for her book “How to Choose the Right Person for the Right Job Every Time.” Mr. Madison has since created the 7 Point Leadership Model which is a hybrid assessment process to measure a candidate’s personality, culture, intellect, team fit, strategic direction and job competencies to achieve optimal long-term placements. One of the cornerstones of the TDM process is the use of “Case” Panel interviews which allow for candidates to openly conduct a dialog with the interviewing committee on how they would go about solving a true challenge(s) which they will encounter in the position.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University, has completed Harvard’s Executive Educational program on Managing Human Capital, and has attended the SCTE-Tucks Executive Leadership Program at Dartmouth. He is certified to administer the Five-Factor Model of Personality Assessment. He remains active in the Richmond Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) an organization that supports the community for mergers and acquisitions and the corporate growth professionals. Dean has been on the Richmond Board for six years and served two years on the executive board where he was responsible for programs and conferences. Dean is a frequent guest speaker at national broadband conferences on building leadership teams that succeed.
