Brett McCartney

Brett McCartney is an experienced geologist currently serving as an Associate Geologist at TD Securities within the Energy Advisors, Global Energy team since August 2023. Previous roles include a geologist at Cenovus Energy from January 2021 to August 2023, focusing on geological execution in upstream thermal, major projects, and offshore domains. Prior to Cenovus, Brett worked at Husky Energy from October 2015 to January 2021, contributing to heavy oil and gas projects, exploration, and commercial management, while also spearheading evaluations in the Powder River Basin. Earlier experience includes a student geologist role at Husky Energy and the Department of Energy in Alberta, along with strong educational credentials encompassing an MBA with a finance specialization from Haskayne School of Business, an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience, and a BSc in Geology from the University of Alberta.
