Armen Hratchian serves as the Executive Director of Teach For America in Detroit/Michigan since April 2018, where Armen has successfully led a significant organizational rebuild, focusing on strategic growth and collaboration with various stakeholders, including a 12-member Board of Directors. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at HighScope Educational Research Foundation, where Armen directed operations and led a team in establishing performance metrics, and as Vice President of K-12 Education at Excellent Schools Detroit, managing a $2.5 million budget. Earlier roles include a Senior Consultant at Public Sector Consultants, an Analyst at Standard & Poor's, and a Board Member for The Osborne Association, where Armen chaired the Program and Advocacy Committee. Armen holds an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saginaw Valley State University.
