Janelle Grady

Director, University Partnerships at Teach For Australia

Janelle Grady has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Janelle started their career as the Managing Director of JM Grady & Associates from 1998 to 2001. Janelle then owned and managed Willeston Conference Centre from 2005 to 2012. In 2000, they founded Educating NZ, where they specialized in company growth and management, strategic advice, and contracts management. As the owner, their responsibilities included board reporting, business development, finance, HR, client relationship management, and stakeholder management. Janelle also served as a Board Member of the Entrepreneurs' Organisation UAE from 2008 to 2009 and was a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors from 2006 to 2009.

Furthermore, Janelle Grady held leadership roles in various organizations. Janelle served as the Chairperson of the Wellington College Board of Trustees from 2002 to 2008. Janelle was also the Board Chair Past of LIVE WIRES NEW ZEALAND LIMITED from 2012 to 2013, where they established an advisory board and provided mentorship and coaching support. Additionally, they worked as the Director of University Partnerships at Teach For Australia from 2013 onwards, where they contributed to enhancing partnerships with universities.

In terms of business development and strategy, Janelle Grady worked as the Managing Director of Educating Global from 2009 to the present. Janelle was responsible for managing the company and driving its growth. Janelle also served as the Strategy and Business Development Manager at Cape York Partnerships in 2013, where they led business development efforts and stakeholder engagement to establish the Australian Institute for Direct Instruction. Janelle'srole included pursuing new clients, building an endowment strategy, promoting the organization, and communication with the media and relevant political stakeholders.

Janelle Grady pursued their education at The University of Auckland from 1978 to 1983, where they obtained a Master's degree in History and English. In addition, they attended the Auckland College of Education in 1981, earning a Diploma of Teaching with a specialization in History and Social Studies.
