Luke Fitzsimmons

Luke Fitzsimmons has more than 25 years of work experience in the IT industry. Luke is currently working at Teach For Australia as the Head of IT Systems and Security. Prior to that, they held the role of Acting Head of IT Systems & Security at the same company. Luke has also worked as an IT Manager at Teach For Australia. Before joining Teach For Australia, they founded Seijaku Consulting, where they served as the Founder & Primary Consultant. Additionally, Luke has worked as an IT Systems Manager at MURCOTTS DRIVING EXCELLENCE PTY LTD and as a Senior Systems Engineer and Service Desk at KMT Group Pty Ltd. Luke has also held positions such as Capacity Manager and Project Delivery Engineer at Interactive Pty Ltd. Luke's earlier experience includes serving as a Systems Administrator at Hillsong Church, an Implementations Engineer at Tardis Services, and an IT Manager at GlobeCast Australia. Luke began their career in the industry as a part of the Data Networking Group at Hutchison Telecoms and later worked as a Senior Technical Support at TeleTech.

Luke Fitzsimmons completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computing at Western Sydney University from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended Red Bend Catholic College from 1992 to 1993, although the specific degree and field of study are not provided. In addition to their formal education, Luke has obtained various certifications over the years, including a certification in Manage People Effectively from the Australian Institute of Management in May 2023 and a Train the Trainer certification from the same institution in August 2022.
