Michael Gilmore

Michael Gilmore is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, including education, finance, and disability services. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Teach For Australia since September 2024, Michael previously held the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer at Life Skills Victoria for a brief period in mid-2024. Michael's tenure at TelstraSuper, which spanned from August 2014 to February 2024, included roles as Head of Advice Enablement and Strategy & Development Manager, focusing on enhancing financial planning services and member experience. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Australian Communities Foundation, ipac, and ANZ Private Bank, along with a background in financial markets training and corporate finance at Citigroup. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Monash University.
