Teach For India
Rahat Lokhandwala currently serves as the City Director at Teach For India since April 2024. Previously, Rahat was an Instructional Coach at Breakthrough Collaborative, where responsibilities included coaching and supervising a team of 20 teaching fellows in conducting STEAM workshops for approximately 100 students in grades 7-9. Rahat held various roles at Harvard University, including Learning Designer and Teaching Fellow, and worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Paraguay and Ek Kadam Aur - Foundation for Education and Health. At The Akanksha Foundation, significant contributions included designing professional development sessions for science teachers and improving teacher training programs. Rahat began as a Teaching Fellow at Teach For India, where efforts to engage parents led to increased classroom attendance. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Biotechnology from Mumbai University and a Master's in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
