Lois Berlin

During her more than forty years in education, Dr. Lois Berlin taught middle school special needs students for five years near Aberdeen, Scotland, and then became a teacher in the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) in the US. During her 24 years in ACPS, she served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. In 2004 she was appointed Superintendent of the Falls Church City Public Schools in Falls Church, Virginia where she served until her retirement in 2011. In 2017, Lois came out of retirement to serve as Interim Superintendent of Alexandria City Public Schools for one year.
