David Esquer

David Esquer was named Stanford’s Clarke and Elizabeth Nelson Director of Baseball in 2017. In Esquer’s first season back at his alma mater after 18 seasons as head coach at University of California, Berkeley, Stanford Cardinal baseball won its first Pac-12 Conference title since 2004. Esquer was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year, and his team matched the program record for the fewest losses. While coaching at Cal, he produced 13 All-Americans, led his players to five NCAA Regionals and the 2011 College World Series. In 2011, he was named the National Coach of the Year.
