John Shin

John Shin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John is currently the VP of Platform Engineering at Teaching Strategies, LLC since 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the VP, Product and Technology at AccelerEd from 2017 to 2022. Before that, they worked as the Vice President, Platform at Hobsons from 2015 to 2017. John has also held various positions at Systems Alliance, Inc., including Vice President of Software Products from 2011 to 2014 and Director of Software Product Development from 2004 to 2011. Furthermore, they have served as a Principal at Velociapps, LLC from 2002 to 2004. Their earlier experiences include working as a Principal Consultant at Macromedia / Allaire from 1999 to 2001, an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton from 1998 to 1999, and a Senior Consultant at Thompson Technology from 1996 to 1998. Lastly, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from 1993 to 1995, focusing on CAFM implementations.

John Shin attended Walt Whitman High School from 1984 to 1988. John then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland from 1988 to 1993. Additionally, during the same period, they also obtained another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland.
