Alexander Shorshtein

Alexander Shorshtein, MD, MBA, DABA, CLSSGB, is an accomplished anesthesiologist and healthcare executive currently serving as the System Medical Director of Anesthesiology at BJC Healthcare as of December 2024. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Alexander has held positions such as System Chair of Anesthesiology at Penn Highlands Healthcare and Chairman of Anesthesiology at Ocean University Medical Center, where responsibilities included overseeing quality care delivery and implementing strategic initiatives. An active member of several professional organizations, Alexander contributes to committees within the American College of Healthcare Executives of New Jersey and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Alexander also holds academic positions, serving as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and as an Attending Anesthesiologist at Hackensack University Medical Center.
