Carlos Montoya

Carlos Montoya has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Carlos began their career as a Freelance Developer in 2000, and then worked as a Software Developer for COMFAMILIAR RDA from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, they joined MVM Ingeniería de software, where they held the roles of Software Architect, Software Developer, CTO, and Software Engineering Director, Processes and IT. In 2014, they worked as a Software Engineering Consultant, and then in 2015 they founded Master Coffee Club. In 2016, they became the CTO and Co-founder of StellarEmploy, and in 2018 they became an Alumni ERA 14 of Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. Most recently, in 2021, they joined TeamClass as the Chief Technology Officer.

Carlos Montoya obtained their Ingeniero de Sistemas y Telecomunicaciones from Universidad Autónoma de Manizales between 1997 and 2002. Carlos then went on to receive their Especialista en gestión de la innovación tecnológica from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana between 2009 and 2010. Following this, Carlos Montoya attended Tecnológico de Monterrey where they obtained their Master in Information Technology Management between 2011 and 2013. Afterwards, Carlos Montoya attended Carnegie Mellon University and received their Master of Science Information Technology in Information Technology in 2013. Carlos is currently enrolled in Encode Club, where they are working towards a Solidity developer and Near smart contracts degree in Blockchain. Additionally, Carlos Montoya holds a SAP Associate Enterprise SOA Architect certification from SAP.
